Multi-WAN Load Balancing and Failover

The ER7206 supports load balancing across up to five WAN ports. Multi-line broadband connections can be distributed according to the bandwidth available on each WAN connection, helping improve utilization. Link backup features provide failover options with timing, online detection, and backup connectivity for greater network availability.

Flexible Gigabit Connectivity

The gateway includes one Gigabit SFP WAN/LAN port and five Gigabit RJ45 ports, including a dedicated Gigabit WAN port and configurable WAN/LAN connectivity. This flexible port arrangement makes the ER7206 suitable for multi-WAN business networks, branch offices, and managed network deployments.

USB LTE Backup and Storage

A built-in USB 3.0 port supports compatible USB LTE dongles for mobile broadband connectivity and USB storage devices. LTE backup can provide an additional WAN connectivity option when primary Internet services are unavailable.

The ER7206 supports multiple VPN technologies, including IPsec, OpenVPN, WireGuard, SSL VPN, L2TP, PPTP, and GRE VPN. It can be used to create secure connections between offices, support remote users, and protect network communications across different locations.

Integrated security features include IPS/IDS, DoS/DDoS protection, access control, IP and MAC filtering, URL filtering, domain filtering, ARP protection, and IP-MAC binding. The built-in IDS/IPS engine uses an attack prevention database with more than 4,000 signature rules for threat detection and defense.

Deep Packet Inspection and Traffic Control

Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) helps identify network applications and manage traffic according to business requirements. Quality of Service, IP-based bandwidth control, application-optimized routing, and policy routing provide additional tools for managing network performance.

Centralized Omada Management

When deployed with a compatible Omada management platform, the ER7206 can be centrally managed alongside compatible Omada gateways, switches, and access points. Centralized features include device discovery, intelligent monitoring, unified configuration, abnormal event warnings, remote management, and zero-touch provisioning.
